The National Advisory Group of Belarus held its first meeting in the framework of the European Union ProgrammePPRD East

The first meeting of the National Advisory Group in Belarus, organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus and the PPRD East experts team, held 13th June 2013 in the Institute for Command Engineers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus in Minsk.

The main competence of the National Advisory Group it is control and monitoring of the project work plan implementation in accordance with the national priorities in the field of civil protection.

In the meeting took part the representatives of Belarusian governmental and non-governmental organizations, and the European Commission Project Manager Lena Nielsen.

The PPRD East experts provided general information about the program including the development of the information system ERRA - Electronic Regional Risk Atlas. NAG members discussed the future activities and sustainability of the project results.

"Together Against Disasters" ...

In Minsk, Belarus held the first meeting of the Advisory Group of the program "Prevention, Preparedness and Response to man-made and natural disasters in the ENPI East Region". The event was organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. According to the organizers words: the main purpose for the partner countries it is effective communications, including control and monitoring in the field of civil protection.

The overview of activities of this project including the development of the regional information system "Risk Atlas" was presented during the meeting.
